Job Title: Ocean Export Operations SpecialistJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ocean Export Operations Specialist to join our team. This role involves coordinating ocean freight operations and providing top-notch customer support. The ideal candidate will excel in data entry, client communication, and managing logistics processes.

Responsibilities

• Email communication with clients.

• Coordinate ocean freight operations.

• Provide customer support and handle data entry related to logistics and freight forwarding.

• Input information into Excel spreadsheets.

• Follow up with customers to ensure billing and emails are up to date.

• Arrange pickups for customers and coordinate trucking transportation to and from shippers.

• Arrange ocean carriers for shipments.

• Communicate with overseas offices regarding shipments.

• Maintain constant communication with customers to update them on shipment statuses.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience in ocean export, ocean import, or drayage trucking.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

• Strong typing skills.

• Customer-oriented mindset.

• Ability to stay organized and manage tasks efficiently.

• Proactive and go-getter attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree.

• Experience in freight forwarding or logistics.

• Ability to create spreadsheets.

Work Environment

This position operates in a modern, renovated office space with a quiet and open cubicle layout. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with hours from 8 am to 4:30 pm, including a 1-hour lunch break. Dress code is business casual, excluding jeans and t-shirts. This role offers a great opportunity for career growth within the logistics and corporate office environment. Competitive benefits are available once the position becomes permanent, along with holiday pay during the contract period.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00
