Gallegos Masonry, Inc. headquartered at 0100 Yacht Club Drive, Wolcott, CO 81655 phone number: 1-970-926-3737, is looking to fill thirty-eight (38) Stonemason Helper positions from 05/15/2024 to 12/22/2024. This is for full time, peak-load temporary employment. Duties include the following: the Stonemason Helper assists the Journeyman and Foreman with various tasks on the job site to ensure they have all the proper tools and equipment to lay stone/brick/block. The Stonemason Helper is required to complete work safely, with quality and within productivity specifications as directed by the foreman or superintendent. Prepares surfaces and mortar to lay brick, block and/or stone. Assists masons to lay brick, block and/or stone and ensures masons have proper tools and equipment needed. Maintains a clean job site and workspace by cleaning all tools, equipment, and materials. Assists to spread concrete using rake/shovel. Participates in daily huddles and practices safety as a priority on all job sites. Under supervision of foreman, cut building materials, such as travertine, ceramic tile, glass tile, stones, or other substances. Prepare worksite and materials using tools such as a wet saw, wheelbarrows, shovels, trowels, and transit levels. Clean work areas and equipment, as needed. Employees will be paid $22.80 per hour up to $26 per hour, with bi-weekly pay periods, and an overtime rate of $34.20 per hour up to $39 per hour, based on the hourly rate. 37.5 hours per week from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, and Saturdays as needed. Returning workers and workers with experience may be paid higher wage rates. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Daily travel to worksites in the area of intended employment is required. The requested temporary workers will be based at 0100 Yacht Club Drive, Wolcott, CO 81655, and will service clients within the Northwest Colorado nonmetropolitan area, including the counties of Eagle County, Routt County, Jackson County, Lake County, Pitkin County, Garfield County, Eagle County, Summit County, and Grand County. Employer provides transportation to and from all worksites.

Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Employer-arrange housing is available at a Bi-Weekly payroll deduction of $287.50. The offered housing is optional to workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide wor er, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor.
