What will I be doing?

As Commercial Manager, you will lead in developing the commercial strategies covering all segments and channels to maximise total revenue and profit performances well as market share penetration. This role will plan and execute the commercial strategy and activity through supporting the Revenue Management team, Sales, Catering and Events, Marketing, eCommerce and Public Relations teams. The Commercial Manager role is key to seize new opportunities through strong customer relations and works as an Ambassador for the Hotel with our key stakeholders.

  • The Commercial Manager will drive the Top line budget and forecast by implementing a commercial strategy and business plan.
  • Work with Finance Manager & Director of Operations to ensure profits are maximised in line with TGOP and EBIDTA targets set.
  • Ensure pricing and rate quotation strategies are in place in order to maximise all pricing components of sales and catering opportunities and achieve positive group market share.
  • Support various on property tasks in coordinating hotel level marketing, sales and public relations activities.
  • Support RMCC and on property revenue management to establish an optimal mix and review as well as validate forecasts, develop strategies for different demand periods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Keep in touch with market trends and support in reviewing/amending strategies accordingly in line with the evolving market conditions.

What are we looking for?

A Commercial Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests, owners and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • Demonstrated previous managerial or supervisory experience in a Reservations and/or Conference and Events Sales function in the hotel/leisure sector
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and exceed targets
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
  • Excellent selling capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to their team
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Accountable and resilient
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
  • Previous experience in the same or similar role
