Cummins Inc. Power Generation Field Service Technician - Level I in Wodonga, Australia

DESCRIPTION

Field Service Electrician (Power Generation)

  • $5,000 sign on Bonus (conditions apply)

  • Hourly rate + On call allowance + OT + Annual Bonus + Benefits + TOT Vehicle

  • Wodonga, VIC

We are looking for a talented Field Service Electrician – Power Generation to join our team in Wodonga specialising in Power Generation commissioning, repairs, and maintenance. You will service our industrial customers in VIC and surrounding areas.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.

  • Troubleshooting and diagnostics on Cummins and other manufacturers generators

  • Install and commission new gensets/systems, transfer switches & Digital Master Controllers (DMC)

  • Maintaining and repairing switch gear & battery systems

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Relevant and current VIC electrical trade qualification

  • Full unrestricted A Grade Electrical licence in VIC

  • Experience in a Field Service Role or similar is desirable

  • A high level of mechanical aptitude and solid knowledge of internal combustion engines

  • Proven ability to perform detailed fault finding on complex control systems with strong attention to detail, problem solving and a high level of accuracy

  • It would be advantageous but not necessary to have:

  • Understanding of HV systems and operations

  • Understanding of Cummins PCC control systems

  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols and PLC’s

  • Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm
