Position : Industrial Hygiene Technician 3

Location : Woburn, MA

We are seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician (IH Technician 3 or 4) to join our Woburn, MA team! Come join us!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Field Work

• Work closely with senior staff on existing Client Projects.

• Solid base knowledge of multiple aspects of Industrial Hygiene, Health & Safety, and/or Building Sciences.

• Experience performing various Building Sciences and Industrial Hygiene services to include, but not limited to project scopes for: mold, indoor air quality, asbestos, lead, worker exposure monitoring, noise monitoring.

• Perform and collect field measurements using a variety of monitoring and sampling equipment.

• Maintain thorough and legible field notes.

• Present data and make recommendations to senior staff on actions to be taken

• Draft technical reports or portions of reports

• Interact and communicate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agency representatives in a professional manner.

• Effectively communicate with direct supervisor and other Atlas team members

• Follow Atlas directives and standards.

• Other projects as assigned.

• Practice and maintain a safe working environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license, must meet qualifications to successfully complete Drug-Alcohol Testing

• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or certificate in project planning, management, environmental sciences, engineering, construction, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational health or a related science field preferred

• Field work experience may be substituted in lieu of science education requirements.

• Must be able to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other personal protective equipment as needed.

• 4+ years’ experience of technically sound consulting experience conducting Industrial Hygiene and Building Science projects

• Asbestos/Mold Surveys, Exposure Monitoring Experience, Noise Monitoring Experience

• Ability to climb stairs/ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Reliable transportation

Technical Requirements:

• Experienced in preparing technical reports and/or proposals preferred.

• Microsoft Office and apps experience required.

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to mold, asbestos, lead, indoor air quality and/or industrial hygiene services required.

Other Miscellaneous Qualities:

• Ability to travel locally up to 90%

• Ability to work nights and weekends up to 40%

• Ability to travel regionally or out of state up to 50%

• Effective communication skills

• 40 hr HAZWOPER preferred

• A professional certification in at least one of the following: Asbestos, Lead, Mold
