JOB REQUIREMENTS: Caregiver for Pick Up Shifts Do you have a flexible schedule and are willing to be a casual caregiver for pick-up shifts? If you are interested in joining a wonderful team of care providers and can assist with coverage in times of sickness and vacations, please consider sharing your caregiving experience by taking care of a wonderful gentleman in his Wisconsin Rapids home. Community Horizons is assisting a family in recruiting the perfect caregiver for their son. This member is in search of someone attentive, reliable, consistent, has a great sense of humor, and can be interactive even though the person they are caring for is nonverbal. Wage: \$16.32 \$17.00 / hour based on level of experience. Hours No guaranteed hours are available due to this being a pick-up shift position Usual caregiving hours within the home are 8:00 am 8:00 pm (12-hour shifts) however this member is willing to do shorter shifts if desired. Hours of need may include weekends and overnights as needed for vacation coverage We would be happy to discuss your hours of availability Tasks Include but are not limited to: Personal Cares Showering Repositioning, transfers, range of motion Other activities of daily living to include some skilled services Getting out into the community occasionally even if it is a stroll outdoors or visiting a local store Ideal Candidate: Has 1 year of professional experience in healthcare-related field Is familiar with the needs of someone with a brain injury and seizure disorder Familiar with or willingness to learn: pump tube feeding, O2, nebulizer treatments, suctioning, ceiling lift, wheelchair safety, SPT Vest, and sponge baths. Has a reliable form of transportation to get to work Training is available for the right applicant Community Horizons offers support for individuals enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organization or IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) throughout Wisconsin. Self-direction gives program participants the choice over who provides services and how they receive them.
