JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Bilingual Associate 4-H Program Educator is an integral part of the UW-Madison Division of Extension and works alongside the people of Wisconsin to improve lives and communities. Extension serves the people and communities of Wisconsin by addressing local, statewide and national issues, improving lives through research-based education, fostering partnerships and action, and facilitating positive impacts. This position is a part of the Division of Extension Positive Youth Development Institute, with a focus within the Wisconsin 4-H Extension Program. The Institute supports programs that contribute to the development of children, youth, and emerging adults who are healthy and productive, and who make a positive contribution to their communities. This Bilingual Associate 4-H Program Educator position will primarily serve Wood County, WI. The individual in this position will be a bilingual and bicultural (English and Spanish) team member whose priority will be working with Spanish speaking audiences using bilingual/bi-literate/bi-cultural skills. This individual will apply the University of Wisconsin\'s research, education, and outreach resources to address locally identified needs and opportunities. The Bilingual Associate 4-H Program Educator will assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating 4-H events and activities and building awareness of 4-H Outreach programs through marketing to new audiences and helping to provide positive youth development experience in order to retain new and previous participants in 4-H programs. The position will work closely with the Wood County 4-H Program Educator. In particular, the Associate Educator will implement the Tools to Thrive and Juntos programs in partnership with local school districts focused on providing support and programming for LatinX students and families. The Associate Educator will help deliver other programming through 4-H events, camps, community events (eg, fairs), and other settings.
