Location: Winter Haven Hospital – BayCare Health System

Status: Full-Time | Shift: Varies | Weekend Work: 2 On, 1 Off

Position Overview

The Cook is responsible for preparing food following standardized recipes and production methods , ensuring high quality and compliance with safe, sanitary food handling techniques . Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing food for patients, staff, and special dietary needs .

  • Following food safety and sanitation guidelines during preparation, service, and storage.

  • Assisting with training and orientation of new team members.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience:

  • Required:

  • 2 years of cook experience

  • Preferred: 6 months of experience in a healthcare setting.

Education:

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED.

Certification & Licensure:

  • Preferred: Food Handler Certification.
