Salary

  • Starting salary $19.00

  • Shift differentials: 2nd shift/ $2.00, 3rd shift $3.00 - Ability to train on 1st shift for several months.

  • External hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus.

Job Summary

The Incoming Inspector/Receiving Clerk is primarily responsible performing visual inspection operations including receiving, final and all in-process inspections on all part types. Ensure parts and inspection and issue of materials match the correct job orders. Inspector identifies shortages and any non-conforming material taking appropriate action as required by activity instructions.

Essential Functions:

  • Examines product contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices or orders to verify accuracy.

  • Reviews incoming orders to ensure inventory is accurate.

  • Receive shipments, inspect product or material and sign paperwork upon receipt.

  • Inspect material to operation sheet requirements and ensure contents match invoice order.

  • Unload packages from incoming trucks

  • Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control.

  • Actively participate, promote, and comply with all EHS programs and policies.

  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in Employee Handbook.

  • Perform all other job duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price, etc.)

  • Contact supplier or shipper if mistake is identified.

  • Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements.

  • Label deliveries and allocate to designated location.

  • Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries.

  • Maintain all quality records.

  • Gage, set-up and run airflow, waterflow and moment weigh.

  • Pack, unpack and load material, review and replace totes and liners if necessary.

  • Process parts through power wash, ultrasonic clean, FPI line and pre-etch.

  • Train new inspectors and FPI personnel.

  • Perform inspections of high visual concentration for a period of 2 hours continuously.

  • Resolve problems as required; contact Quality Engineer or FPI Level 3 as needed.

  • Final inspection of parts to OP sketch requirements

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to understand oral and written instructions in English.

  • Understanding of basic math, including decimals and fractions.

  • Ability to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of processes.

  • Computer skills and knowledge of supply chain/customer databases such as Oracle, MS Access or equivalent.

Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 3 months related experience
