Job Summary This position will be based out of the Winona CareerForce office. This position serves as a Case Manager for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) and Diversionary Work Program (DWP) customers, working under the contract between the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED), Winona CareerForce, and Winona County Health and Human Services. The Case Manager's role is to assess the needs of MFIP/DWP clients, enabling them to secure sustainable employment by providing personalized support and resources. This includes creating individualized Employment Plans that outline each client's strengths, goals, skill gaps, and required services, along with actionable steps to overcome employment barriers. The Case Manager conducts regular check-ins with MFIP/DWP customers, delivering comprehensive case management services to ensure clients are prepared and supported as they re-enter the workforce. Additionally, this role provides ongoing assistance to employed MFIP/DWP clients to help them maintain stable employment. This position is telework eligible and is required to work three (3) days in the Winona office and up to two (2) days telework after a three (3) month training period. Staff are provided with the tools and equipment to be successful in a virtual work environment and may telework from anywhere in Minnesota or a neighboring state. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or related field as determined by the agency. OR One (1) year of experience providing career guidance, vocational counseling, or job placement services, as well as providing case management to clients. Applicants that meet the above minimum qualification will be further evaluated on the following: Experience in customer service, which includes the ability to relate to persons on all levels with patience, tact and understanding. Skill in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) as well as proficiency with data management software. Ability to form and grow connections with community partners such as educational institutions, employers, and supportive services to assist career seekers in gaining employment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or other closely related field as determined by the agency. Knowledge of Minnesota's workforce programs, including work with public workforce development agencies and related nonprofit organizations. Skill in effective communication and human relations skills necessary to build rapport with clients and access needs. Skill in Communicating in a second language.
