ManpowerGroup Associate Technician in Winona, Minnesota

Our client in Winona, MN is looking for Associate Technicians to join their team. You will be a part of a production team involving machine operation as well as assisting in various areas of the plant. The ideal candidate will have high school diploma or equivalent, strong attention to detail and safety minded which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Associate Technician

Location: Winona, MN

Pay Range: $23.25

Schedule: 5:30pm - 6:00am, with occasional OT

  • every other week, 1 week Monday, Tuesday, Friday, AND Saturday night

  • 2 week Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday night.

What’s the Job?

  • Assume personal responsibility for safety performance and demonstrates a genuine concern for the safety of co-workers.

  • Maintaining acceptable housekeeping standards.

  • Comply with all safety/health related policies and procedures, participate in company sponsored safety programs and activities, and report to management those conditions or actions by employees or others that might create a hazard to themselves or others in the plant.

  • Setting up extruders to run a product that is in accordance with standard operating conditions with minimal downtime and loss of product.

  • Setting of feed totes and product totes. Must be able to learn to use tote tumbling and screw/element oven equipment.

  • Maintaining proper records, run logs/sheet, feed blends on line, amount of product in totes, packaging reports, work orders, log books and keeping the on-coming operator informed as to important issues.

  • Cleaning the extruder barrel and screws, the feeder, the chopper, the classifier, the reclaimer system, bagging system, product totes to prevent product contamination. Requires familiarity in the operation and uses of various hand tools.

  • Troubleshooting processing problems with the product. This includes, but is not limited to surging, black specks, improper pellet size, pellets with tails and contaminated product.

  • Troubleshooting equipment failure and repairing

What’s Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Driver License

  • 2 years manufacturing experience

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts

  • Forklift experience preferred

  • Pre employment background check and drug screen

  • Great attendance record

  • Eager to learn and assist in other areas as needed.
