Key Responsiblities: including but limited to:

  • Responsible for reading and signing appropriate trigger boards, low-lifts, forklifts and clamp truck paperwork.

  • Responsible for ensuring equipment (sheeter), runs through breaks and lunches. (Training will be provided).

  • Ensures required supplies are at the sheeters (i.e.: rolls, skids, tags, tape, etc.)

  • Runs equipment (sheeters) for vacations and call-ins.

  • Assists with preventative maintenance tasks.

  • Assists with strapping and removal of waste sheets.

  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Safety:

  • Supports GPI safety programs and training.

  • Maintains safe and healthy work envornment by following all standards and procedures.

  • Ensures work area is clean and free of obstacles.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and managers in a professional and respectful manner.

  • Basic math skills and understanding of weights, measurements, volume and distance.

  • Excellent reading comprehension/writing.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring daily tasks are complete.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (12 hours).

  • Awkward and/or repetitive movements.

  • Frequent climbing, stooping, bending, overhead reaching, kneeling and crouching.

  • Frequent lifting/moving (up to 20 lbs) and occassionally up to 50 lbs.

  • Frequent walking.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Work Environment:

  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

  • Frequent exposure to noise, vibration, (mandatory hearing protection provided by the company).

  • Fluctuating temperatures.

Shifts:

  • Successful candidate must be able to work all shifts, including by limited to: days, afternoons, evenings, 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, without exception, as required and scheduled in a 24/7 continuous operation. Candidates not able to work all shifts will not be considered for the role.
