BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Account Manager - Infusion and IV Compounding (North East) in Winnersh, United Kingdom

Job Description Summary

We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Account Manager to join our Infusion Therapy team, covering the Northeast England territory. Ideally based in or around Newcastle, Sunderland, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, or Leicester, you will be at the forefront of our operations in a strategically vital area, working with a supportive and hard-working team.

Through regular site visits and a collaborative approach, you will engage with technical, clinical, and procurement experts to enhance business outcomes. Your focus will be on managing and renewing existing accounts, particularly within the Infusion & CATO portfolios, and promoting the adoption of our BD neXus Infusion platform. This field role offers a rare chance to be involved in a major product launch—the first of its kind in 25 years for BD. As part of our team, you will play an important role in shaping the future of infusion therapy, with opportunities for professional growth and development.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and renew existing Infusion & CATO accounts, while driving the adoption of the BD neXus Infusion platform.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to secure successful tender outcomes.

  • Identify potential customers and key decision-makers, including NHS Trust board members.

  • Address customer objections, emphasising agreements and working towards positive resolutions.

  • Promote early replacement cycles among existing customers, ensuring faster revenue generation and maintaining the current install base.

  • Upsell and cross-sell products, encouraging the adoption of new technologies to support future retention.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Business Development Specialist and the Commercial team, to drive sales across the BD portfolio.

About you:

  • Educational background in a business-related, scientific, or medical field is preferred.

  • Proven experience in capital sales, ideally within the healthcare or medical device sectors.

  • Strong commercial savvy, with an understanding of the political and clinical factors that influence commercial success.

  • Proficiency in sales processes, including territory and funnel management, with excellent organisational skills.

  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar sales management platforms, coupled with strong analytical and decision-making skills.

  • Willingness to travel, with approximately 60% of the role being field-based.
