Workers are needed to plant, maintain and harvest various vegetable crops. Workers will perform field work including planting, transplanting, weeding, thinning, hoeing and other tasks required in the planting, maintaining, and harvesting of various vegetables. Workers will sort, wash, pack and otherwise prepare various crops for storage and shipping, as well as transport and deliver various crops from field to farm and/or retail stand. Workers will load and unload trucks and other farm vehicles, setup and operate various irrigation equipment, and cut brush and other vegetation in and around fields, buildings and equipment. Workers will operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmer\'s fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as-needed basis. Those that are requested to drive will be required to possess a valid drivers license, no worker will be rejected for not having a driver\'s license. Workers must be able to work in various extreme weather conditions from damp and cold spring and fall days to hot and humid summer days. Work is physically demanding requiring workers to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. Workers must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Workers must be available for work Monday through Saturday. Workers may require to work 10 hours shift between the hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm from Monday through Saturday. Workers will be given a 30-minute lunch break and a 15-minute break in the morning and afternoon. Daily beginning and ending times will vary depending on crop and other conditions. The employer will furnish to workers without cost all tools and equipment required to perform assigned duties. Beginning and ending may vary depending upon weather and crop conditions. Workers must be able to take direction in simple English.
