Collins Aerospace is looking for a Subcontract Program Manager to join our team in Windsor Locks, CT! What You Will Do:

  • Act as a Business Advisor to internal customers, utilizing business acumen and experience to provide market insights, supply chain solutions, and proactive support for key programs.

  • Plan and lead supplier negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Contracts and Legal teams to establish terms and conditions that minimize risk to the organization.

  • Lead the management of highly complex subcontracts, ensuring compliance with original proposals and program baselines.

  • Brief senior management as required, and participate in cadence reviews with suppliers and/or upper management.

  • Oversee multiple subcontract products and services within assigned programs, including design, development, production, and potentially service, support, and product enhancement efforts.

  • Conduct supplier visits as necessary to enforce adherence to contracts, requirements, and schedules.

  • Serve as the primary contact for internal customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with program management.

  • Represent the company and contracts management on legal requirements, customer specifications, and government regulations.

  • Search for and evaluate qualified suppliers and manufacturers, developing new supply sources as needed.

  • Independently determine methods and procedures for new or special assignments, often with minimal supervision.

  • Develop innovative solutions to complex problems, requiring a high degree of creativity and ingenuity.

  • Tackle unique challenges and create solutions that set precedents for future decisions, using independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.

  • Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards, and create new applications based on professional principles and theories.

  • Utilize broad expertise or unique knowledge to contribute to the development of company objectives and goals in creative and effective ways.

  • Create formal networks involving coordination among various groups.

  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization on policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives.

  • Manage programs of moderate risk or complexity, or portions of larger programs, with a focus on execution.

  • Oversee programs with a total value exceeding $50M, with significant subcontract content representing up to 50% of the total program value or critical portions of the program.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
