Collins Aerospace ISR & Space Systems, is searching for energetic and highly motivated candidates for its new opening Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering at their Windsor Locks CT location.

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and subject matter in support of low volume, high complexity manufacturing for space systems applications including life support, environmental and thermal controls . The role also involves customer engagement, and provision of advice and guidance on related supply chain, test and evaluation, and certification of components, sub-systems and assemblies.

This role will be performed Onsite at our Collins Aerospace location in Windsor Locks, CT.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage a team of highly skilled , professional manufacturing engineer, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure the team's success and professional growth

• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to optimize production efficiency, quality, and safety

• Work with the internal stakeholders to build and maintain collaborative partnerships

• Establish and maintain the knowledge to establish process capability baseline and improvement plans

• Engineering guidance of supply chain to support production efforts

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and quality assurance, to develop and implement new products or processes

• Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex manufacturing issues, troubleshoot problems, and optimize production output

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in electronic assembly systems and/or mechanical assembly

• Experience in establishing and delivering complex systems, particularly involving manufacturing / production operations

• Strong technical strategy development and project planning skills

• Knowledge of project management coupled with experience in leading technical teams in new product introduction and subsequent program phases

• Strong relationship management skills highlighted by experience in cross functional projects both short and medium term

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
