The Large Commercial Engine (LCE) portfolio within the Engine Control Systems (ECS) business has an immediate need for a Value Stream Leader (VSL). This Value Stream Leader will serve as the face to two customers, namely International Aero Engines (IAE) supporting V2500 engine platforms on A320CEO and C-390 airframes, and the Engine Alliance (EA) supporting GP7000 engines on A380 airframes. Serving as a Collins internal leader, this position will be responsible for developing and aligning winning strategies for their customer, and work within the integrated project team (IPT) as a Leader to solve complex Engineering problems. The VSL will interface and collaborate with a cross functional team across engineering, business development, finance, contracts, quality, operations, and aftermarket to effectively support the execution of all aspects of the portfolio.

The manager reports directly to a LCE Program Director with regular interface to the LCE Program Executive Director.

What You Will Do

• Collaborate with the internal broader Large Commercial Engine (LCE) team

• Utilizing a control tower to deliver against program targets and implement risk mitigation plans

• Present plans and status tasks regularly to customers and executives

• Set and monitor annual budgets

• Support customer and supplier proposal and negotiations

• Drive product cost to lowest possible target to achieve performance

• Interface with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion

• Collaborate with a cross functional team to complete tasks on time and on budget

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements

Qualifications We Prefer

• Have demonstrated experience with leading cross functional teams in the role of Integrated Product Team / Program Manager / Value Stream Leader

• Have demonstrated experience utilizing metrics to evaluate program execution and improve organization effectiveness.

• Have demonstrated ability to prepare and present briefings to leadership, summarizing data and information.

• Have demonstrated experience with interfacing with internal and external customers.

• Minimal travel may be required to customers in the greater Hartford, CT area along with travel to Collins sites, suppliers, and customer world wide conferences.

• Basic understanding of CORE process fundamentals

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business

• Advanced degree(s) in business management

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
