Kelly Services Warehouse Worker in Windsor, Connecticut

Warehouse Worker - Windsor, CT

Join our team in Windsor, CT!

Hours: Mon-Fri 6:30am-3:00pm

Pay: $20/hr

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our Material Control department.

Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials, manufacturing, and production parts throughout our facility. This role involves utilizing various equipment and adhering to strict safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull orders for production utilizing pallet jacks and stand-up/sit-down forklifts.

  • Manage outbound parts for production and spare parts service.

  • Perform inventory procedures according to cycle count instructions.

  • Return unused materials to inventory.

  • Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement (CIT) initiatives and ISO certification processes.

  • Maintain currency with technical and supervisory skills through training classes, seminars, and industry events.

  • Cross-train in other material control functions and departments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Proven experience operating sit-down/stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both team and independent environments.

  • Strong work ethic with a commitment to high-quality performance.

  • OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 certification for operating power industrial trucks preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in using forklifts.

  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and capable of taking initiative.

  • Basic data entry skills.

  • Relevant experience in a warehouse or industrial environment.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
