WM Launch Analyst in Windsor, Connecticut

I. Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Launch Analyst is responsible for the implementation and/or de-implementation of new, renewing, or existing customers for Waste Management (SBS). In addition, this position is also responsible for performing research and resolving any vendor/customer issues that might arise.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the management and execution of any customer contract event including new customer implementations, contract renewals, existing customer projects, and de-implementations

  • Serve as Project Managers for all implementations and de-implementations including managing, tracking and reporting of all progress. Also provides assessment and recommendations to management through project progression including identifying any areas of risk

  • Analyze data to create vendor bid documents for procurement of services to fulfill contractual obligations by Vendor Relations department

  • Manage and facilitate logistical execution with Waste Managements Operational (Market) Areas to fulfill contractual obligations and resolve issues

  • Monitors overall work flow to ensure timely completion of projects and daily work requirements

  • Resolves issues arising from internal department functions, or as brought forth by internal or external customers

  • Tracks issues to resolution within department and in partnership with other groups

  • Monitor and manage vendor payable adjustments to ensure timely and accurate customer billing and vendor invoicing

  • Prepares reports on data summaries, changes, and trends for use by management

  • Conduct departmental audits to ensure compliance with internal business processes and contractual obligations including price, cost, and service configurations

  • Lead meetings with employees and external customer/vendors to track projects progress against critical path dates and dependencies

  • Recommends changes, updates and processes for continuous improvement in areas of expertise

  • Assists with special projects within Launch department or as part of cross-functional teams as required or assigned

  • Subject Matter expert for assigned functions

  • All other duties as assigned

IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

  • Education: Associate's Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 2 years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience: 1 year of relevant work experience (in addition to education requirement).

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills

  • Robust project management and time management skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel (Advanced level) and other Microsoft Office applications (Intermediate level)

  • Critical thinking ability and problem-solving skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written

  • Ability to excel in a fluid, fast-paced team environment

  • Ability to perform training within areas of expertise

  • Ability to perform with minimal or limited supervision

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $53,400-$58,000. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
