Entry Level Aerospace Test Engineer

Description: An entry level Aerospace Software Test Engineer job in Windsor, CT 06095 is currently available at Belcan. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Software, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering or similar. In this role you will work on a variety of sophisticated aircraft engine and control systems.

Job Duties:

· Analyze and interpret system requirements of the aircraft engine and its subsystems

· Develop of test procedures and scripts for both formal and informal requirement coverage

· Execution of test scripts along with data analysis for requirement verification to DO-178 testing standards

· Perform verification, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting of systems and software within a software development cycle

· Partake in root cause analysis and defect resolution with the customer as needed

· Work with small team to maintain course and meet deadlines

Required Qualifications:

· BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering

· Familiarity with data modeling and analyzing large sets of data from different sources

· Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication and time-management abilities

· Experience in working within a team environment

· Skilled with Microsoft Office tools and possess some knowledge of modeling and analysis using one or more tools

· Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· Exposure to requirements management tools

· Exposure to reading logic diagrams

· Experience with one or more of C/C++, C#, and/or Java

· Experience with Linux, and/or Python

· Exposure to software engineering standards such as DO-178

. Exposure to developing verification procedures and test scripts

· Experience with MC/DC style requirement/code breakdown

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $62,000-$75,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
