Description: A Drafter/ Detailer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full time, direct position with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have skills with using NX and some practical drafting or detailing experience with gas turbine engines and/or turbomachinery components. You will be part of a team: applying drafting standard practices, methods, and techniques for a variety of products within the aerospace industry.
Drafter/ Detailer job duties:
- Use appropriate drafting standards to produce various detail, assembly, and layout drawings, or other diagrams and schematics to transform the design into a
more useful visual representation.
Revise drawings to conform to design change orders.
Assist design personnel, as required, in all other aspects of drawing creation process.
Qualifications:
DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR WORK, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
Associate degree in engineering required or 7+ years of experience
Experience with NX/TC software in the aerospace industry
Experience with mechanical parts and assemblies
Must have gas turbine experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with engineering data storage and management systems such as Teamcenter
Desired but not required skills:
Model based design (MBD)
Software experience with NX 11
Current Secret Clearance or ability to get Secret Clearance a plus
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $47,840 to $72,800. However, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
