Description: An Aerospace Software Test Engineer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering and at least seven years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry. In this job, you will support in the verification and validation of various aircraft engine software systems.

Job Duties:

· Analyze and interpret system requirements of the aircraft engine and its subsystems meet customer's intent

· Development of test procedures and scripts for both formal and informal requirement coverage

· Execution of test scripts along with data analysis for requirement verification

· Partake in root cause analysis and defect resolution with the customer as needed

· Perform verification, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting of systems and software within a software development cycle

Required Qualifications:

· BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or Computer Engineering

· At least seven (7) years of work experience in the aerospace industry

· Experience with Linux, Python and/or Matlab

· Skilled with Microsoft Office tools and possess some knowledge of modeling and analysis using one or more tools

· Experience with one or more of C/C++, C#, and/or Java

· Experience with engineering standards such as DO-178

· Self-motivated, adaptable, highly organized and possess excellent communication abilities

· Experience in working within a team environment

. Experience developing verification cases and procedures

· Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is a must have

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

· Exposure to DOORS, Serena or other requirements management tools

· Exposure to reading logic diagrams

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $110,000 to $150,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
