Windham Mountain Resort SECURITY OFFICER in Windham, New York
Overview of Position: Windham Mountain Club is a year-round, family friendly, inclusive resort focused on going Above & Beyond for our community. The Office of Safety and Security provides community-oriented safety and security services for properties across Windham Mountain Club and the surrounding communities. The successful member of the Office of Safety and Security will be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision, possess sound judgement, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills and be of strong moral character and act with integrity. Experience in public safety and/or security is preferred but not necessary.
Job Qualifications:
Must have or be able to obtain a NY Security Guard License upon hire and shall maintain this license during their period of employment.
Must have and be able to hold a valid Driver License issued by a State and have and maintain a driving record acceptable by the insurer for Windham Mountain.
Must be able to lift and maneuver over 60 pounds.
Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
Must be alert, reliable, truthful, honest, polite, steadfast, attentive and be able to maintain confidential information.
Must be comfortable interacting with all manner of staff, residents, owners, and guests in a friendly and helpful manner.
Must be able to handle stressful, noisy and crowded situations, and be able to conduct themselves efficiently and professionally in dynamic and ever-changing environments.
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance as outlined in department policy.
Job Duties:
Provide resort wide safety and security services for community members and Windham Mountain Resort’s physical property while instilling a sense of safety and security.
Provide patrol presence to prevent, deter and respond to safety and criminal incidents and efficiently secure the property of Windham Mountain Resort and contracted residential neighborhoods.
Provide first responder services and coordination for criminal, fire, medical and safety hazard incidents, and work with emergency responders to resolve incidents.
Provide dedicated safety and security services for special events including concerts, weddings, competitions, etc.
Investigate and create detailed call log, investigative, and accident reports in various formats in all manner of activities, criminal and non-criminal complaints.
Provide security for the movement of money throughout Windham Mountain Resort as well as to designated banking institutions.
Benefits:
Compensation – the Pay Range for licensed, experienced Security Officers is $20.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour. Security Officers who are not licensed or who possess minimal Security experience upon hire may be hired at a training rate of $19.00 per hour until all NY State Security Guard licensing and required training is complete and the applicant has met or exceeded in-house training and proficiency standards.
Windham Mountain Club Office of Safety and Security is a licensed NY State Security Guard Training School and provides paid training and required continuing education to its own staff members at no cost.
Windham Mountain Club Office of Safety and Security will provide the necessary and required Security Officer Uniforms and Equipment excluding boots, belts, and gloves.
