Overview of Position: The Lodge Operations department is responsible for the overall cleanliness and routine maintenance of the buildings, property (patio and decks) and grounds immediately surrounding the Windham Mountain main Lodge, Wheelhouse mid-mountain lodge, Adventure Park lodge and Windham Country Club clubhouse. The Facilities Manager guides the efforts of the Facilities Cleaning staff and is involved in the training and supervision of staff in their job duties as well as interaction with guests. The Facilities Manager works closely with the Marketing, Special Events and Food & Beverage Departments in coordinating special function needs.

Job Duties: The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Windham Mountain. This list of duties is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed,

  • Perform supervisory functions including recruiting, hiring, training, reviewing daily/weekly department needs.

  • Manage staff scheduling and other needs as advised by the Director of Buildings Maintenance.

  • Work closely with staff to supervise and assist in overall day-to-day cleaning, routine maintenance, and special function duties.

  • Coordinate outdoor snow removal efforts. Maintaining the cleaning of all walkways and patios are a major safety concern to all who use them.

  • Operation of and training of staff in the usage of heavy equipment, including tractor with bucket, snow blowers and bobcat.

  • Coordinate the transport of trash and recyclable to the transfer station.

  • Assist with the ordering and inventory of supplies and equipment.

  • Cooperate with other Windham Mountain departments in maintenance and cleaning efforts.

  • Create and prioritize off-season projects.

  • Assist in the maintenance of department equipment.

  • Responsible for greeting and dispensing information to all guests. This involves approaching guest, inquiring if they have any questions and being able to respond professionally.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing above & beyond products and experiences for our guests. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holidays which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.

We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests. We expect employees to arrive promptly.
