Aerotek is hiring a machinist for a manufacturing client in Winchester VA -
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision parts and components. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machining centers, lathes, and mills.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
Load and unload parts, and monitor machinery during operation.
Perform quality checks to ensure precision and accuracy.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient production.
Meet production deadlines and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist in a production environment.
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD/CAM software.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Certification in CNC machining or related field.
Experience with quality control and inspection procedures.
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

This is a fully on-site position in Winchester, VA
