Shenandoah University Assistant Professor of Public Health in Winchester, Virginia

Shenandoah University’s College of Arts & Sciences is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Public Health. This will be a full time faculty position located at your main campus in Winchester, Virginia.

Our growing public health program seeks a highly collaborative candidate whose primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate public health courses, both lower level and upper-division courses including but not limited to introduction to public health, health policy, research methods, and public health careers & leadership. This full-time, career-contract position will also include advising and mentoring public health majors. An on-campus, in-person presence is expected. The successful candidate will describe elective courses they would develop to complement the department’s strengths. Preference will be given to candidates who can expand the department's ability to provide research and/or other experiential opportunities to undergraduates.

Required Skills

Requirements: PhD or DrPH in public health or related doctoral degree; Desire and/or experience in teaching and mentoring undergraduate students. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
