Robert Half Accounting Specialist, Stable Industry in Wilton, Connecticut

Description

We are in the search for a meticulous Accounting Specialist to join our team based in Wilton, Connecticut. In this role, you will be tasked with managing the complete Accounts Payable cycle, from invoice processing to authorization and payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will also be responsible for maintaining balance in bank deposits, ensuring proper credit and promptly communicating adjustments to respective managers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete Accounts Payable cycle, from invoice processing to authorization and payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Verify vendor statements meticulously, resolving any discrepancies promptly to maintain financial integrity.

• Conduct thorough reconciliation of accounts payable, internal bank accounts, and various balance sheet accounts to ensure precision in financial reporting.

• Handle the review and processing of employee reimbursements with attention to detail and adherence to company policies.

• Accurately input prepaid expenses and fixed assets into dedicated modules within our accounting software.

• Record journal entries for ACH and checks, maintaining organized and accurate financial records.

• Maintain balance in bank deposits, ensuring proper credit and promptly communicating adjustments as needed.

• Monitor internal accounts through our core system, generating processing sheets for clearing settlement items and ensuring compliance.

• Reconcile daily, generating journal entries for clearing and adjustments to maintain financial accuracy.

• Regularly monitor general ledger accounts post daily postings, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure accuracy.

• Collaborate with the accounting and finance team on special projects, providing support and expertise as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform Billing tasks efficiently

• Proficient in Data Entry tasks

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Associates in Accounting or a related field

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
