This role is a unique blend of Scrum Master and Product Owner responsibilities, offering a chance to lead embedded software projects from concept to production. You will play a critical role in ensuring our embedded software development process is efficient and that our products meet the high-quality standards expected by our customers. If you have a passion for embedded software, agile methodologies, and the ability to balance technical and business requirements, this role is perfect for you! _Primary Job Functions_ * Scrum Master Responsibilities: o Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth Agile processes. o Coach and guide the embedded software team on Agile principles and practices, fostering a collaborative and self-organizing environment. o Identify and remove impediments that may obstruct the team’s progress, ensuring continuous improvement in efficiency and effectiveness. o Monitor and track project progress, using tools like Jira, to ensure deliverables are on time and within scope. o Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency within the team. * Product Owner Responsibilities: o Define, manage, and prioritize the software team backlog, aligning with business goals and customer needs as defined by the product manager, as well as technical feasibility. o Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams, to gather and refine requirements. o Translate customer and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. o Serve as the primary point of contact between the development team and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project goals and progress. o Make informed recommendations on trade-offs between scope, schedule, and cost, maintaining a balance between delivering value and managing resources. o Continuously evaluate product performance and user feedback to drive improvements and iterations. * General Team Leadership: o Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are understood and achieved. o Mentor and support team members, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers. o Drive the team towards achieving sprint goals and overall project objectives, while maintaining high morale and motivation. o Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence. Qualifications - External _Education and Training_ * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. * Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is preferred. _Experience_ * At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development, with a comprehensive understanding of both hardware and software components. * Proven experience in a Scrum Master or Product Owner role, ideally within an embedded systems or related environment. * Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). * Experience with Agile project management tools, such as Jira or similar. _Knowledge, Skills & Abilities_ * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically. * Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Familiarity with embedded programming languages (C/C ) and development tools. * Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller architecture is a plus. * * _Why 3D Systems?_ Make a meaningful difference Founded in 1986, we are the original pioneers of 3D printing.
