Kindred Healthcare Operating LLC Infection Control/Employee Health Nurse PRN in Wilmington, Ohio
Description Under the direction of the Director of Quality performs surveillance, investigation, and reporting of infections involving patients and/or employees of the organization; performs surveillance, investigation and follow-up of employee health issues and accidents. Is responsible for the development and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures related to infection control and employee health and providing appropriate educational programs as related to areas of job duties. Qualifications Must be a graduate of a school of nursing with a current license to practice nursing in the state of Ohio. Requires a minimum of 3 years of current nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Certification by the Certification Board for Infection Control preferred. Must be able to demonstrate initiative in accomplishing responsibilities. Must use problem solving techniques. Establishes own daily work assignment bases on responsibility and priorities. Computer skills and typing skills preferred. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, and other software programs preferred. Ability to handle more than one assignment at a time.
