ABX Air, Inc. DIRECTOR OF PLANNING & CONTRACTS in Wilmington, Ohio

Description Responsible for oversight and direction of the Planning and Contracts Departments at ILN, with a dotted line to TPA for standardization between sites. Plans, directs and organizes the preparation, negotiation, and administration of all contracts, subcontracts, amendments and bid related activities for all business units, assuring as much consolidation as possible between ILN & TPA for shared customers & supplier contracts. Ensures legal and product line review and approvals are accomplished, as required. Communicates all contractual requirements, implications, interpretations and changes to all product line leadership and effected business team disciplines. Identifies, develops, and implements MRO contractual policy and processes. Assumes focal point responsibility for all communication with finance, sales, legal, and product lines for resolution of contract issues and disputes. REQUIRED JOB SKILLS: Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant contracts and planning experience, OR Associates Degree and 4 years relevant contracts and planning experience, OR 6 years of relevant contracts and planning experience with no degree. Broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance & modifications paperwork & terminology. Demonstrated experience in negotiating and contract drafting as well as knowledge of legal, financial, accounting and standard business practices related to contracts to include estimating/pricing. Verbal, written, presentation, problem solving & interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, train, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of employees, management, customers and sales prospects. Planning & organizational skills necessary to provide oversight of planning department through assignment & coordinating of work within a multiple project setting, as well as to ensure thorough, accurate and complete results while multi-tasking and working through others. Analytical skills necessary to organize data, determine gaps & trends, test alternative proposals and measure results. Positive, flexible, and service-oriented attitude toward internal and external customers; proven leadership results that requires little direction and/or motivation. Previous customer service experience.
