Brief Summary of Work for this Position

Residential Assistants - Supervise students in the residential hall during their bedtime routine and at wake up. Stay on-site overnight with students in the residential hall to respond to any overnight student needs. Support Staff - Conducts laboratory or recreation activities for individual and group participation. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Current undergraduate student

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Lifeguard certification preferred
  • Driver's license preferred

Required Certifications or Licensure

  • First Aid and CPR Certification is REQUIRED for all positions (Certifications must be obtained by June 3, 2024)
  • Must complete online training modules and attend MarineQuest in-person staff training held June 3 - 7, 2024.

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

College/School Information

Work Hours RA positions: 6:30AM - 8:00AM and 9:30PM - 11:00PM Monday through Thursday, Friday AM, other support positions work hours vary

Work Days Work days vary

Hours Per Week RA positions minimum 15 hours, other support positions vary from 4 hours - 30 hours a week.

Type of Position

Anticipated Hiring Range RAs $10 per hour plus housing, other support positions $10 - $15/hour

Special Instructions to Applicants

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department needs with the possibility of continuation. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines. Pay varies by position and candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
