Novant Health Manager, Benefits Operations in Wilmington, North Carolina
Responsible for administration of employee benefits in all company operations. As needed, this position provides special guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans. Benefits manager surveys industry and/or community to determine company's competitive position in employee benefits. This position assist in the development, recommendation and implementation of approved, new or modified plans and employee benefits policies and supervises administration of existing plans. This position will also be a subject matter expert in well-being, and will assess, plan, design and implement a team member well-being program, to include organizing educational opportunities, conducting presentations, and partnering with other well-being and clinical professionals across Novant Health. This position will coach, develop and lead a team of Benefits Analyst and Benefits Specialists in the monitoring of vendor compliance with plan policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. It will also support the Finance Department in annual 5500 audits. This position will also lead the team member onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition to Novant Health employment and benefits, whether it is an acquisition, joint venture, affiliation or divestiture.
This position will be based in Wilmington, NC, Winston-Salem, NC or Charlotte, NC; Wilmington, NC is preferred.

Education: Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
Experience: Experience working with employees and leaders at various levels in a large, complex organization required. Experience in the healthcare industry and familiarity and experience with PeopleSoft. Preferred.
Additional skills required: Strong technical skills with standard office software (work processing, spreadsheets, databases and email) required. Must have proven effective written and oral communication skills. Must have proven time management and organizational skills. Must be self directed, able to effectively set priorities, be well organized and detail oriented. Must possess the ability to handle extremely confidential information appropriately.
