Position Overview:
Hotel Ballast is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our hotels facilities are well-maintained and functioning optimally to provide an exceptional experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge and hands-on experience in painting, drywall repair, and basic repair work.
Key Responsibilities:
Painting and Finishing: Perform painting tasks, including touch-ups, full-room repaints, and refinishing surfaces to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the hotel.
Drywall Repairs: Handle drywall installation, patching, and repairs to address any damage and maintain a clean and polished appearance throughout the hotel.
Basic Repairs: Conduct various repair tasks such as fixing leaky faucets, repairing broken fixtures, and addressing minor electrical and plumbing issues.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruptions to guest services.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and any inventory used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in painting, drywall repair, and general maintenance work.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
