Weston & Sampson Mechanic in Wilmington, Massachusetts
Weston & Sampson is looking for an individual in the Massachusetts/New Hampshire area to perform work involving multiple skills including, but not limited to, construction, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in water/wastewater pump stations, treatment plants and aquatic facilities.
What you’ll do:
Service, repair and maintain wastewater/water pump station, treatment facility and aquatic facility equipment
Maintain equipment and supplies and keep in good working order
Knowledge of proper use and care for equipment and supplies
Conduct troubleshooting and repairs of pump controls and basic electrical knowledge
Active participation in the installation and construction of new equipment and pump stations
Perform maintenance, repair and new installation of PVC, and ductile iron piping and valves.
Provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
Possible on call service work as we are a 24/7 emergency contractor.
Overtime and weekend work may be required
What you will bring:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3 years of wastewater/water mechanical equipment repairs preferred
Proven ability to communicate effectively, with strong writing, verbal and mechanical skills
Ability to organize, manage, meet deadlines, complete reports and coordinate multiple assignments
Knowledge of MS Office and other computer software
Strong verbal and written communication
Self-motivated and the ability to work independently
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be able to climb a ladder, minimum of 15 feet
Valid Drivers’ License
