Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. Floating Security Officer - $22/hr in Wilmington, Massachusetts

We have just the opportunity for you!

Securitas Security Services out of Wilmington is looking for several officers to fill Full and Part Time Shifts.

We train qualified individuals to perform required tasks, with a focus on our 3 core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.

This position requires excellent customer service skills, critical thinking with the ability to intervene and deescalate. No prior security experience is required.

Often called a Flex or Floater Officer, this position requires officers to travel to all sites within the branch to provide professional security solutions to clients as our recruitment team works to fill open role.

Officers generally know their schedule one week in advance but may be called on with short notice or in the event of an emergency.

Job Description

  • Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.

  • Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment.

  • Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

  • Controls access to client site or facility through the admittance process

  • Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons.

  • Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.

  • Responds to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.

  • Prepares logs and reports as required.
