Verdanatas in now hiring a Senior Environmental Project Manager to support the Wilmington, DE office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and client management support for a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate, industrial, institutional, and public sector clients

  • Project and task management, including both internal staff and subconsultants/ subcontractors as needed to complete projects on time and within established budgets

  • Perform senior review of deliverables and provide technical support to other project managers

  • Collaborate with managers and staff in the Mid-Atlantic and from other Verdantas offices

  • Developing, planning, and managing environmental assessments, remedial investigations, engineering/geologic studies, and remediation projects to meet our client’s needs, as needed

  • Ongoing participation in professional society meetings, etc. developing and maintaining relationships with key clients, teaming partners, and potential staff hires

  • Participating in marketing and business development activities including lead generation, project development, and proposal preparation in Delaware and neighboring states

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or geology; master's degree preferred

  • 7 - 15 years of relevant experience working in a consulting environment

  • Professional certification (Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist)

  • Strong technical background in preparing remedial and sampling plans, conducting environmental assessments, and site/remedial investigations

  • Design and implementation of remedial technologies

  • Experience directing and managing sophisticated acquisition and divestiture projects

  • Proficiency with due diligence activities

  • Knowledge of Delaware (HSCA and RCRA programs) and EPA regulations and guidance documents

  • Additional experience/expertise in neighboring states (PA, MD, NJ, VA) is a plus

  • 40-hr HAZWOPER training
