Job Description:

DuPont's Interconnect Solutions (ICS) is a global manufacturer of a broad array of high-performance films, laminate materials, and printed circuit board processing materials used in the electronic industry. Our products are used extensively in aircraft, automotive, high-speed trains, personal electronics, and military equipment. ICS is looking for a West (Americas and EMEA) Sales Operations Specialist who will play a pivotal role in optimizing sales processes and driving business growth. They will be responsible for managing critical sales operations functions, including the Kapton® Films sales pipeline process, sales planning, data analysis, process optimization, and CRM management. This role will support the West sales team by providing actionable insights, streamlining processes, and ensuring the efficient execution of sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, a deep understanding of sales processes, and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

* Please note - the preferred hiring location for this position is Chestnut Run Plaza in Wilmington, Delaware, or the Circleville site in Ohio. Applicants will also be considered for remote work across the US.

The responsibilities for this role will include:

Kapton® Films Sales Pipeline and Lead Generation Management:

  • Utilize GenAI and Salesforce tools to identify and screen potential leads.

  • Develop comprehensive lead generation strategies, targeting key markets and customer segments.

  • Partner with the sales team to implement lead qualification criteria and execute lead nurturing programs to move prospects through the sales funnel. Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in the sales cycle.

  • Track key lead generation metrics, analyze performance, and optimize strategies to improve lead quality and conversion rates. Continuously improve the regional Salesforce.com opportunity pipeline.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to provide actionable insights and areas for improvement.

  • Develop sales dashboards and generate regular reports on sales, pipelines, and forecasts. Monitor the current month’s revenue outlook in real-time and communicate updated expectations to leadership.

  • Track sales performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

Sales Technology and CRM Management:

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the CRM system. Evaluate and recommend new sales tools (e.g., sales automation, analytics, etc.) to support the sales team.

  • Ensure proper utilization of CRM and sales tools. Facilitate training on usage and best practices.

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the CRM. Troubleshoot issues related to sales systems.

Sales Enablement:

  • Develop and manage sales enablement programs. Streamline the sales team’s internal responsibilities.

  • Provide tools and resources to support the sales team in achieving their goals and facilitate training of such tools. Maintain sales collateral (e.g., product sheets, presentations, guides, resources, etc.).

  • Work with sales leadership to develop playbooks and guidelines for consistent sales execution.

Sales Planning, Forecasting and Strategy:

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement sales strategies, plans, and KPIs.

  • Improve sales forecast accuracy and support planning processes. Ensure revenue expectations from the demand plan are accurately reflected, pressure tested, and communicated to leadership.

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform/improve sales strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with sales, integrated operations (IO), marketing, customer service, and product teams to drive improvements, streamline workflows, and ensure cohesive execution of sales strategies/goals.

  • Facilitate communication and coordination between sales and other functions.

  • Drive and support cross-functional projects and initiatives such as customer segmentation, allocation process, and operations improvement initiatives as needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the sales team by encouraging feedback and innovative ideas. Implement best practices and ensure compliance with sales policies/procedures.

  • Implement and track initiatives aimed at enhancing sales process productivity and effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and new technologies in sales excellence.

This is a highly visible and dynamic role. The successful candidate will present to leadership at the regional and global levels. It requires the development of a wide internal network with strong relationships across functions, regions, and business. This role will especially need to establish a high level of trust with the regional sales leaders, account managers, demand planners, product line managers, and channel partners. This person must demonstrate a deep understanding of our internal business processes and the external needs of our customers.

Education, Experience, Competencies:

Candidates should possess the skill sets indicated and have a strong desire to further develop and grow. Experienced individuals who have a strong track record of success are encouraged to apply.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, preferably in engineering, business, MBA, science, or math.

  • 5+ years of experience in electronic or industrial applications relevant to Interconnect Solutions’ customers.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in product management, R&D, sales, marketing or similar roles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data and draw actionable conclusions.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Western territory and geography.

  • Experience working with distributors and helping sales leaders find solutions to channel conflicts.

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge and application of the sales process.

  • Knowledge of sales tools, including Salesforce.com, demand planning processes, sales reporting

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with business leaders, account managers, demand planners, product line managers, customer service, supply chain, and operations teams.

  • Considers how actions or plans will affect customers; responds quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems; avoids over-commitments.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and communicate (both oral and written) at all levels with external and internal stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Highly skilled in negotiation and influence management.

  • A can-do and positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Knowledge of agreements and contracts.

  • Strong planning & organizational capabilities. Detail-oriented and process-driven mindset.

  • Strong foresight and intuition in anticipating problems and proactively taking actions to address them.

  • Ability to multi-task and to form actionable plans given objectives.

  • Ability to change priorities smoothly and often.

  • Ability to drive actions to completion, often by influencing others.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and other data analysis tools.

  • Experience in risk and change management.

  • Experience in an “influence management” role or related internal support/consultancy role.

Additional Information:

  • Occasional travel may be required. Approximately 20% travel.

  • Can be based in any local DuPont office, preferably North America.

  • Off-hour interface and support of global teams may be necessary.
