Mid-Level Mass Tort Defense Paralegal (Philadelphia, PA)

We are representing a leading law firm specializing in national litigation risk management and mass tort defense in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This firm is renowned for its commitment to excellence, fearless approach to winning cases, and dedication to making a positive impact through DEI initiatives, community service, and attorney development. With nearly 100 attorneys spread across a dozen offices, our client serves as national, regional, and trial counsel to Fortune 500 companies in industries such as energy, construction, manufacturing, technology, and more. They are currently seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their dynamic team in Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of asbestos case management, from initial claim review to trial preparation.

  • Maintain and update databases efficiently.

  • Review, prepare, and draft documents, reports, and correspondence for legal proceedings.

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills with a forward-looking approach to task completion.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently on projects.

  • Adaptability to changing environments and working under strict deadlines.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a general litigation paralegal.

  • Paralegal Certificate required from an accredited school; Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.

  • Prior experience in a litigation environment and knowledge of claim intake and case management skills are highly desired.

  • Experience in asbestos or mass tort litigation is preferred.

Details and Benefits:

  • Work Schedule: Hybrid; 3 days in the office (Tues.-Thurs.).

  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 (Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for the higher end of the salary range).

  • Team Support: The selected candidate will support 3-4 attorneys as part of a 6-member legal support team.
