Citigroup Innovation and New Product Development Project Manager, SVP - Branded Cards in Wilmington, Delaware

Within Proprietary Cards, New Product Development is centralized enabling critical efficiencies as we build our products and capabilities. This role will focus on the Innovation of new and enhanced credit card products, features, and capabilities in partnership with various partners (external agency, research, product management, delivery, marketing, etc.). Innovation mandate spans across the credit card landscape, including benefits/loyalty programs. This role sits within a group of Product Management employees, setting strategy, prioritizing and facilitating product design. Additionally, this role will be responsible for assisting the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the development and promotion of products, increasing share of market and obtaining a strong competitive position.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and launch of new credit card products, features, and capabilities including product/feature design and go-to-market strategy, and participate in technology development and launch activities. Drive client value propositions, positioning, channel strategies, and ongoing competitive differentiation.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the customer needs and identified pain points across key credit card portfolios, loyalty/benefit programs, and core segments.

  • Assist in maintaining strategic product roadmaps, product development, program launches, and program marketing to gain maximum benefit from each product, as well as survey and analyze competitive industry landscapes to identify relative trends, threats, and opportunities for product managers.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience

  • Deep understanding of design thinking methodologies with experience in new product development (strategy & execution)

  • Strong leadership and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

  • Ability to develop strategies, gather resources, and inspire a diverse set of individuals

  • Experience operating in a global and matrixed environment including managing cross functional areas (e.g. product management, finance, risk, decision management, research, marketing, technology, digital, and operations)

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Working knowledge of the different systems, theories, and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles

  • Strong quantitative abilities and understanding of P&L dynamics

  • In-depth knowledge of industry and competitor products/services

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$144,480.00 - $216,720.00
