DuPont (Performance Building Solutions and Corian® Design business unit) is seeking a highly motivated Market Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting sophisticated research and analysis on market trends, market size and growth rates, value chain behaviors, competitive landscape, and extract critical insights to enable data driven business decisions. Reporting the Global Director of Strategy & Growth, this role will require a keen eye for detail and possesses strong analytical skills. ​

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

Market & Competitive Intelligence: ​Collect and analyze market and competitive intelligence from external and internal sources to deliver the following:

  1. Develop and manage a quarterly dashboard of performance indicators as part of broader investor relations communications—a blend of financial and non-financial metrics related to

a) the most relevant market indices and analyst reports specific to building and construction products industry.

b) peer set data (including for example, peer set financials alongside qualitative references to sustainability, advocacy, M&A, new product launches, etc)

  1. Present market research findings and key take-aways tailored to the internal audience and/or key stakeholders.

  2. Support the annual strategic planning process related to various global market growth rates, market share inputs and related calculations.

Market Research Management:

  1. Assist the marketing teams in implementing effective research strategies to identify and map market size, trends within specific segments of the industry, and/or product categories for both organic and inorganic growth initiatives.

  2. Prepare custom market research project charters, including scope, identification of intelligence specialists, availability of primary and secondary resources, and budget proposals based upon internal needs of Strategy leaders and commercial teams.

  3. Manage Mkt Research budget for: global market data subscriptions, published reports, and custom reports requests, VOC vendors​, etc.

  4. Develop and manage the external vendor input(s) as a weekly construction industry newsletter(s) based upon key words and topics relevant to the business unit.

Requirements:

  • B2B and B2C Market research (primary and secondary) tactics and execution

  • Summarization and presentation of critical insights from research

  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles for public companies

  • Excel, ThinkCell and PowerPoint proficiency​

  • Ability to evaluate data credibility and utility

  • 3rd party market research firms account management experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s degree focus in Marketing, Economics, Statistics

Experience:

  • 5-7+ years in market research focused (industrial or B2B preferred).

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to draw conclusions from large amounts of data.

  • Attention to detail and ability to identify emerging trends and opportunities.

  • Innovative approach to acquiring market intelligence and developing new strategies.​

  • Familiarity with business strategy and strategic planning, and kknowledge of the construction industry is a great benefit
