Delaware Litigation Associate - Junior
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Associate Attorney in Wilmington, Delaware. The main role of this position is to represent clients in Chancery Court litigation matters, including conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and managing cases. This role is in the legal industry, where the successful candidate will work in an office setting.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the representation of clients in various litigation matters in Chancery Court, including but not limited to shareholder disputes and corporate governance issues.
• Undertake comprehensive legal research as needed for case development and litigation strategy.
• Draft a range of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring their accuracy and thoroughness.
• Manage case workflow from its inception to resolution, including preparing for trial and making court appearances.
• Work collaboratively with other partners and senior associates on complex litigation matters.
• Oversee the preparation of discovery and deposition.
• Monitor and maintain client accounts, taking necessary action when required.
• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
• Hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Minimum of 1+ year experience as a Litigation Attorney
• Membership in the Bar Association is required
• Bar Admission in the state of practice is necessary
• Experience in Complex Commercial Litigation and Complex Business Litigation is essential
• Capability to manage a comprehensive Litigation Practice
• Proficiency in Billing practices within the legal sector
• Exceptional skills in drafting Briefs and Motions are required
• Strong Legal Research skills are necessary
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are a must
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• High level of integrity and detail-oriented accountability
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
