Independent Health Government Sales Representative in Williamsville, New York

OverviewThe Government Sales Representative will be responsible for government sales acquisition and retention strategies for Medicare eligible through external and call center sales. They will work collaboratively with government telesales, individual sales representatives, and sales management. The Government Sales Representative will be responsible for 100% compliance with all CMS, state, and corporate requirements. The Government Sales Representative will be staffed at the Lakewood Medicare Information Center and will have a hybrid role working in the office, out in the field, and in home as scheduled. This position will require travel to the Independent Health offices located in Erie County one day per quarter for ongoing in-person training sessions.In addition, the Government Sales Representative will be accountable for meeting monthly sales activity and productivity goals aligned with departmental projections and the corporate scorecard. They will fully utilize systems such as Salesforce.com to maintain extensive records of prospects and activities. The representative must be licensed in NYS Accident/ Health.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Three (3) years of call center service and sales experience, with the ability to work with Medicare, Medicaid and State products beneficiaries required.Must obtain valid NYS Accident/Health license within 3 months of employment to comply with CMS regulations. Will not be permitted to conduct any Medicare sales without state licensure or receive any sales compensation.Ability to adhere to and meet all established compliance and regulatory standards.Ability and willingness to conduct outbound sales and retention calls.Ability to commit to working CMS required holidays, weekends, and extended hours.Excellent communication skills on a verbal and written basis with members, all levels of management and community contacts. Ability to display patience, empathy, and professionalism with external and internal customers.Ability to understand government products, benefits, eligibility, enrollment processes and communicate such to customers.Ability to meet established service level and call center metrics including inbound calls, outbound calls, and walk-ins.Ability to work in a collaborative team sales environment and contribute to meeting established sales goals.Proficient internet, PC and Windows skills with the ability to quickly learn and implement sales lead generation web-based tools.Self-motivated, detail oriented, excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines.Local travel required. Any Independent Health associate who uses a motor vehicle in the course of their duties representing Independent Health must be compliant with State Motor Vehicle laws and must follow the Policy that pertains to Driver’s License Requirements as a condition of employment.Proven examples of displaying the IH values: Passionate, Caring, Respectful, Trustworthy, Collaborative and Accountable.Essential AccountabilitiesYear Round-Execute acquisition and retention strategies for Medicare products at Medicare Information Centers, key community organizations; support telephone sales calls when needed to meet sales as well as call center goals. Manage Medicare Information Center during Annual Enrollment Period and Special Enrollment Period to provide one-on-one support to Medicare/state product eligible and meet sales goals. Travel to different WNY locations to meet with members in the community (Dunkirk, Olean, etc.) to review Medicare plan options.During Annual Enrollment Period-Provide training, coaching, oversight and management of temporary Red Shirt staff, ensure compliance and adherence to streamlined business processes. From January-October-Develop and implement sales strategies for acquisition and retention that meets and or exceeds established monthly goals. Conduct and document timely follow up from lead acquisition reports in a disciplined and productive manner. Conduct member retention outbound initiatives as required.Respond to prospective member phone calls, written correspondence and walk-in prospects in accordance with established service metrics. Handle call center phone calls, appointments and walk-in prospects at assigned Medicare Information Centers as needed. Ensure that customers receive accurate information. Demonstrate compliance with regulatory audit calls conducted by CMS and the DOH and ensure compliance with all MIPPA and State regulations. Meet NCQA standards.Assist prospective Medicare members via inbound/outbound calls in plan selection and telephonic enrollment.Work with management team, security team and facilities as needed to ensure office maintenance while collaborating with the member service team for MIC site openings/closings due to weather conditions.Provide plan and benefit information to Medicaid, CHP, Essential, and individual prospective members.Work with marketplace team to assist prospective members with plan information and enrollment.Meet all call center metrics and established telesales sales goals and ensure 100% compliance.Maintain technical proficiency regarding Independent Health’s contracts, benefits, policies, and procedures. Attend sales training, regulatory and skill-based training sessions in person at the Williamsville and/or Cheektowaga locations on a quarterly bases, or as required. Must demonstrate expertise of all systems necessary to perform the functions of the position.Meet the accuracy and quality metrics and be proficient with all necessary systems including Siebel, SalesForce, and HealthRules and achieve an 85% passing score on all training exams.Hiring Compensation Range: $24 - $28 hourly + Sales IncentiveCompensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience. In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off.
