The Arc Erie County is looking for an Information Systems Coordinator!

What you’ll be doing: As our Information Systems Coordinator, you will be managing projects & technology systems to perform assessments, deduct metrics about performance, evaluate trends and mitigate risks.

  • Working with support staff delegating work & assigning priorities based on framework model

  • Develop operational programs, procedures, communications & reports related to HER Systems, school systems HRIS systems, LMS and various other SaaS systems

  • Possessing knowledge of departmental processes, workflow & comprehensive knowledge of departmentally developed information systems & systems infrastructure

    What we need from you:

    Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related fieldPLUS(3) yrs of progressive professional experience in information technology systems or related work experience

    OR

    Associate degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related fieldPLUS(10) yrs of progressive professional experience in information technology systems or related work experience

    PLUS

    Expert knowledge of Management Information Systems in a complex, multi-divisional organization. Demonstrates expertise in general management of staff, inventory, and budgets. Demonstrates organizational, leadership and communication skills. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement regarding sensitive information.

    Job Description

Job Title:

Information Systems Coordinator

Position Summary:

This position is to manage projects and technology systems, to perform assessments, deduct metrics about performance, evaluate trends, and mitigate risks to avoid potential problems by determining and implementing system/process improvements. Possess knowledge of departmental processes, workflow and comprehensive knowledge of departmentally developed information systems and systems infrastructure.

Reporting Relationship:

Coordinates Information Technology personnel and reports directly to the Information Technology Director.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with support staff delegating work and assigning priorities based on framework model

  • Develops operational programs, procedures, communications and reports related to EHR Systems, School Systems, HRIS Systems, LMS and various other SaaS systems

  • Coordinates information systems used by the agency

  • Facilitates the agencies production of data necessary to achieve agency/department objectives and to ensure that reporting needs can be met effectively and efficiently

  • Works with IT staff, personnel in other departments, and vendors to develop new systems, resolve system problems, plan and schedule technology installations and ensure compliance

  • Designs documents, forms and reports; develops and implements new procedures to improve record keeping and productivity

  • Assesses existing workflow and provides recommendations to improve programs, workflow, and existing procedures

  • Compiles and analyzes data for purposes of managerial decision making

  • Conducts special studies and administrative research of departmental operations and systems, for planning, budgeting and evaluation purposes

  • Prepares user manuals and procedures related to information systems and conducts training for department users in systems use and enhancements

  • Serves as a liaison between Service Directors and acts as IT liaison for Department

  • Serves on various committees and management teams as assigned

  • Performs related work as required

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related fieldPLUSthree years of progressive professional experience in information technology systems or related work experience

OR

Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in Information Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related fieldPLUSten years of progressive professional experience in information technology systems or related work experience

  • Human Relations Skills:

The ability to communicate with individuals in a positive manner, work independently as well as cooperatively with others, be approachable, enthusiastic, demonstrate the ability to be a leader and serve as an appropriate role model to staff members. Receive supervision instruction in a positive manner. Maintain a professional behavior and appearance at all times.

  • Equipment Operation:

The ability to operate business equipment; telephones, fax machines, computer hardware and software, including applications and programming, copiers, calculators, etc.
