UPMC Licensed Practical Nurse, OP (LPN) - Pain Management in Williamsport, Pennsylvania
UPMC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for our outpatient Pain Management office in Williamsport, PA. This LPN position enjoys a consistent dayshift schedule Monday-Friday with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 am - 5:00 pm. There are no required weekends or major holidays (7 paid holidays per year).

$5,000.00 - 2yr Commitment | 0-1 year experience & recent graduates
$7,500.00 - 2yr Commitment | 1+ years experience
Purpose:
Provides professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers.
Responsibilities:
Draw blood.
Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, CLIA, PA Department of Health).
Administer medications including oral, SQ, IM and IV drip.
Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments.
Assess patient's general condition and take vital signs and weight.
Comply with all policies and procedures.
Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.
Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
Act 34
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP)
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
