Nesco Resource, LLC CNC Machine Operators in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Nesco Resource is teaming up with a client in New Columbia PA! We are looking for a 2nd shift Metal Fabrication Machine Operator!

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, and presses to cut, shape, and bend metal according to specifications.
  • Read blueprints and job orders to determine sequences of operations and tooling instructions.
  • Set up tools and workpieces, adjust machine settings, and monitor operations to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct basic preventative maintenance on equipment and perform accurate inventory control through data input.
  • Possess knowledge of CNC programming and basic inventory control systems.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; able to accurately measure with a tape measure and square to 1/32 " and convert decimals to fractions.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a two-year certificate program from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in distinguishing between different types of metals and reading blueprints.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate machinery safely in a moderate noise environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.

**Hours: Monday through Friday 2pm-11pm (Opportunity for OT after 11pm) Pay: $20-$22/hr depending on experience, plus $1.00/hr second shift differential
