Summary:
The Merchant Services Quality Assurance Analyst position is best suited for a motivated, dependable, team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. The payments industry is dynamic and ever evolving, and this position is critical to ensuring success as the first line of defense.
Adhere to Corporate and Merchant Acquiring policies and procedures.
Conduct new merchant underwriting reviews in accordance with the Merchant Acquiring Policy.
Conduct ongoing merchant reviews to ensure compliance with the Merchant Acquiring Policy.
Review underwriting trends, variations, patterns to assist with identifying fraudulent and/or suspicious activity.
Assist with preparing reports of audits, including findings, analyses and conclusions.
Translate results and communicate findings as meaningful business recommendations to Management and acquiring clients as necessary.
Track audit findings through to resolution.
Extract and distribute daily, monthly and quarterly reports from various systems.
Perform complex analysis and reporting.
Perform ongoing review and reporting of acquiring portfolios.
Work as a support liaison between Bank and acquiring clients.
Assist with Card Association compliance and reporting requirements.
Assist with the implementation of new relationships.
Stay abreast of all new and emerging fraud trends in the industry.
Collaborate with other staff and departments as necessary to ensure the underwriting process flow is managed in the most effective and timely manner.
Understand your role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes.

Strong analytical skills
1+ years of underwriting or risk experience in a financial or credit card processing environment
Merchant Services experience preferred
2 years financial services industry experience preferred
Auditing and/or underwriting experience preferred
Ability to prioritize work load independently
Ability to thoroughly review documents
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
Self-motivated, conscientious and team oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Aptitude to learn new software programs and job functions
Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential material and information in an ethical and professional manner
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
