Amentum is seeking a Floor Cleaning Technician to join our team in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The position will predominantly consist of floor and carpet cleaning and will assist in housekeeping duties. The technician will inspect carpets for signs of wear, perform deep cleaning services on carpet and tile, and apply deodorizers when necessary. Previous experience is preferred, however training will be provided.

Job Requirements:

• Inspect carpet and upholstery for stains and other signs of wear.

• Preparation of carpets and upholstery for cleaning.

• Provide deep cleaning services.

• Apply deodorizers where needed.

• Move or cover furniture as needed.

• Assist with carpet cleaning, including shampooing, preconditioning, spot removal, and spot treatment

• Assist with tile and grout cleaning

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Full range of physical mobility (position requires sustained sitting, standing, stooping, lifting as much as 50lbs)

• Comply with all company and customer safety requirements

• Properly manage floor cleaning equipment.

• Knowledge of mixing chemicals and proper use of chemicals.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• US or Naturalized Citizen

• Minimum one year carpet cleaning experience preferred.

• Consistent and reliable attendance.

• Attention to detail

• Demonstrated satisfactory oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

• Ability to work efficiently with little direction.

• Commercial floor cleaning experience a plus.

• A valid driver's license.

• High school diploma or GED

• Must Possess a government issued clearance at time of application
