Description

Cove Forge is actively hiring a Utilization Review Specialist to act as a liaison between managed care organizations and the facility professional clinical staff.

Position Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • Professional and courteous demeanor

  • Basic computer knowledge and emails/charting

Essential Functions:

  • Act as a liaison between managed care organizations and the facility professional clinical staff.

  • Monitor patient length of stay and extensions.

  • Inform clinical and medical staff on issues that may impact length of stay.

  • Conduct quality reviews for medical necessity and services provided.

  • Initiate and complete formal appeal process for denied admissions or continued stay.

  • Assist the admissions department pre-certifications of care.
