Bergen Logistics Warehouse Manager in Wilkes, Pennsylvania

The Warehouse Manager will lead the day-to-day in either the Inbound or Outbound operations or planning activities for running an effective and profitable business center. This position requires an action-oriented operator with a penchant for innovative and critical thinking aimed at improving efficiencies and productivity.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This person will manage either the Inbound or Outbound operations ensuring a seamless workflow best positioned to achieve business metrics and customer service level agreements.

  • Responsible for meeting financial targets (key measurements and benchmarks distribution & labor costs, meeting daily required percentage on billing against labor)

  • Provides leadership and development to create a high performing team.

  • Promotes "total customer satisfaction" (delivery, quality etc.) within all Operations teams

  • Identifies and solves critical operational problems.

  • Determines departmental staffing requirements as part of Operational planning/budgeting.

  • Provides leadership in the development of an effective organization and its members

  • Ensures financial targets are met.

  • Responsible for establishing approved objectives, plans and budgets for each department

  • Initiates best practices to improve operating procedures in order to optimize cost, quality and delivery time.

  • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; and reporting all issues to senior leadership immediately to avoid operational delays.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for client communication regarding inbound operations, addressing inquiries, providing solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Generate regular reports on departmental performance, trends, and key metrics to share with management and clients.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business, economics, finance or management.

  • Third Party Logistics experience is a plus.

  • Highly effective supervisory skills including motivating, directing and training teams to achieve operations KPIs.

  • Demonstrated leader with 2-3 years progressive management experience in a 3PL environment is preferred.

  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume work environment with extremely busy peak seasons.

  • Proactive and solution oriented.

  • Ability to manage conflict and achieve collaborative outcomes.

  • Prior experience with forecasting and financial planning.

  • Ability to analyze data, reporting skills and data entry management

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems is a plus.

  • Bilingual Spanish language preferable.

  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs; occasionally, with team support, lift and/or move objects greater than 30 lbs
