Geisinger Northeast Emergency Room Technician in WILKES BARRE, Pennsylvania
Emergency Room Technicians play a key role in supporting our nurses in the Emergency Department to perform a wide range of direct patient care activities.
Emergency Room Technician I positions do not require experience or CNA certification---comprehensive on the job training is provided. Geisinger provides a two-week Emergency Room Technician Residency program, which is a combination of classroom and clinical training.
Emergency Room Technician II positions do require additional Paramedic certification. Additionally, Geisinger provides a two-week Emergency Room Technician Residency program, which is a combination of classroom and clinical training.
Responsible for providing simple treatments, procedures and general patient care to groups of patients. Provides care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs with respect to the beliefs and values of coworkers, patients and their families. Functions in a team work environment. Accountable to the Care Director and receives direction from Emergency Department staff.
